Much of the time, people doing remodeling or such on their personal property feel it is okay to do so without a permit. However, the city has codes and ordinances in place that specify, in great detail, what our limits are for doing work without a permit. Clicking on this link www.municode.com/resources will take you to the Code Library for Florida. Simply click on Florida, locate Pensacola, and there you will find a listing of all the city ordiances and codes for the Greater Pensacola area. Remember, always check with the permitting office before you start any consturction or remodeling to avoid an unnecessary and costly delays!
